Season 32 Shake-Up: 4 Celebs Cutting Ties with Dancing with the Stars
The popular reality competition will never be the same without these four stars.
The idea of pairing professional dancers with celebrities who never took dancing seriously and forcing them to compete for victory was the perfect premise for Dancing with the Stars when it launched in 2005.
Today, the show is doing better than ever, recently wrapping up its 31st season and once again becoming one of the most talked-about reality events of the year.
However, while the show is still raking in the cash for the producers, some of the old cast members are leaving the project, much to the dismay of their fans. Here are four celebrities we're saying goodbye to after Dancing with the Stars Season 31.
Len Goodman
The lovable British dancer has been a judge on the show since its inception in 2005, and fans were devastated to learn that Len Goodman was leaving the project for good after this year's season. Len spent an enormous amount of time coaching dancers and celebrities, and it looks like he got tired of working so much and living in the US. The dancer is going to move back to the UK to spend more time with his grandchildren.
Although Tyra only joined Dancing with the Stars in 2020, her tenure as co-host was nothing short of memorable. Viewers loved seeing the top model having the time of her life on stage, so the news that she was leaving the project to focus on her business idea was both unexpected and sad.
Cheryl Burke
The winner of Seasons 2 and 3 joined Dancing in the Stars in 2006 and has been on the show ever since, with only one short hiatus. Cheryl is a vibrant and captivating personality, and fans loved to see her every season, even though she did not win the competition again for more than a decade. The star decided to leave the project due to her age, arguing that dancing so much at 38 was getting a little dangerous.
Mark Ballas
The Season 31 winner shocked fans with an unexpected announcement that he was going to quit the show after dancing professionally on it since 2007. Mark will certainly go on to take advantage of his other career opportunities, but people are still sad to see the beloved dancer go.
