Mysterious posters hint at an unexpected renewal.

Although Korea's Squid Game remains one of the most popular Asian shows on Netflix, Japan's Alice in Borderland isn't far behind. The show has broken numerous records with its highly successful second season. However, since its premiere last December, Netflix has remained silent about the possibility of renewing the show for a third season, leaving fans anxious.

It seems that Netflix has finally decided to tease a third season of Alice in Borderland by displaying cryptic posters in Tokyo's subway system. These posters show a pile of playing cards with a hidden message that reads 'Alice Three.' So, is a third season actually in the cards?

Not so Fast

While it's tempting to conclude that Netflix has confirmed a third season of Alice in Borderland based on this marketing campaign, official sources have yet to make any announcements, leaving fans wondering if Netflix is simply messing with them.

However, given that the second season ended with a shot of a joker card on a table, the connection between the posters and the show's possible renewal cannot be dismissed as purely incidental.

No Need For A New Season

The prospect of a new season of Alice in Borderland excites many, but some viewers argue that a third installment is unnecessary. They point out that all storylines were neatly wrapped up in the Season 2 finale, where the characters wake up from their comas and move on with their lives.

Nonetheless, some people have already brainstormed several possible solutions to this dilemma. The most popular suggestion is that Netflix could introduce an entirely new cast of characters for the third season. Rest assured, some fan-favorite characters from the first two seasons would likely return, too.

'I hope it's another group of people going through a disaster, the main guy can be part of it, and the people who stayed can run some of the games, but I want essentially a reset,' a fan said.
