Young Royals Season 3 to Release in November 2023?
Fans are expecting the show to return this year.
While not many people have actually watched the Swedish Netflix show Young Royals, which chronicles the scandalous same-sex romance between the Swedish prince and a straight-A student, the show's fandom is actually quite large. The first two seasons have proven to be both heartbreaking and uplifting, and fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the LGBTQ+ show's upcoming third season.
But will it actually premiere this year, and will the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes affect its release at all?
An International Production
Although Young Royals is produced and distributed by Netflix, the show's cast and crew are actually all Swedish, which means that the American guilds' strikes won't affect the production and release of the show, and the cast can even promote it online.
Because of this, some fans are sure that Netflix will release the third season of the show this year, as other high-profile shows and movies can't even use their main actors to promote them to the general public.
A likely release date revealed
While fans have no official information about Young Royal's return, they have been able to find a pattern in the show's previous season releases, as they all aired around six months after filming was completed. With this in mind, fans are pointing to August as a possible release date, as it would be exactly half a year since filming wrapped.
What's more, fans have noticed that Netflix tends to release new seasons of Young Royals about two or three weeks after the release of the first trailer, so if the trailer does finally arrive, fans can be sure they won't have to wait any longer to see the beloved characters again.
And while fans are excited about the new season of Young Royals, they are still a little angry at Netflix, as the streaming giant is basically refusing to release anything about the show, even though the fanbase is practically begging to see at least some stills or short clips from the upcoming season.
