Where is Armie Hammer Now? Hanging Out in Italy, Apparently
The actor was seen in a restaurant. Did he order ribs?
In today's world, many conservatives fear the so-called cancel culture, which allegedly destroys the careers of prominent artists following unsubstantiated allegations and sends them into the abyss of obscurity. And while it's true that some celebrities fall from grace and get blacklisted by various agencies, many continue to enjoy a life of luxury.
Armie Hammer seems to be going through the being-cancelled phase of his life, too. In spring 2023, after accusations of abuse, rape, creepy comments and acts of a cannibalistic nature, the LAPD dropped all charges against him due to lack of evidence. And although in 2022, sources claimed that Hammer was completely broke, in June 2023, he was reportedly seen in Italy in the company of Alicia Vikander.
In 2021, an anonymous Instagram account posted screenshots in which the Call Me by Your Name star sent very strange messages of a sexual nature to various women. After the author of the account accused him of rape, the LAPD launched an investigation.
His ex-girlfriend, Courtney Vucekovich, reported a similar manipulative attitude and a cannibalistic fetish. At the time, she said the actor sucked blood from her hand, abused her, and even told her how he wanted to barbecue her ribs.
In the midst of the investigation, Hammer went through divorce proceedings with Elizabeth Chambers. Now that the charges have been dropped and a post-divorce settlement has been reached, things seem to be looking up for him.
Not long ago, sources close to Page Six reported that he was spotted in Rome, at the Roscioli restaurant, in the company of his longtime friend and co-star from The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Alicia Vikander, and two other unnamed individuals. And no, her husband, Michael Fassbender, was not one of them.
It is unknown whether this was a casual gathering or a discussion about a project that would allow Armie Hammer to get back in the game. Nevertheless, it's not a bad sign that he can now afford to travel to Italy after moving to the Cayman Islands in the midst of the investigation, where he worked selling timeshares while staying close to his ex-wife and their two children.
