What is the Plot of the Book American Horror Story Season 12 Based on?

Fans of American Horror Story were shocked when Ryan Murphy announced that Kim Kardashian will play one of the main roles in the upcoming Season 12, but this was not the only surprise the genius showrunner bestowed upon the fandom. The upcoming season will be based on a book by Danielle Valentine, Delicate Condition, making it the first adaptation in the history of AHS.
While some fans are speculating if Murphy is just getting lazy, it looks like the plot of the book is definitely worthy of being adapted into an AHS season.
Danielle Valentine's novel centers on Anna Alcott (played in the show by Emma Roberts), an aspiring actress desperate to start a family. After months of IVF, Anna begins to suspect that someone is trying to ruin her chances of having a baby, as her appointments keep getting postponed and lab results get lost. And just as she becomes pregnant, someone breaks into her house and steals her baby's ultrasound.
While all of this sounds like the kind of suspenseful, paranoia-infused narrative we have come to expect from AHS, things get even worse when Anna's baby is apparently lost in a miscarriage. Obviously, Anna doesn't believe the doctors as she still feels her baby inside her. She decides to live alone in a distant snowy town and wait for the ominous villain to finally show up in person.
With a synopsis like that, it's no wonder Murphy decided to immediately buy the rights to adapt the book, as it's almost impossible to pick a better source material to get AHS back on track. The last few installments of the popular horror anthology lacked the thrills and spills of the first five seasons, leading fans to proclaim that AHS was well past its prime and should be canceled by FX.
However, thanks to Danielle Valentine's Delicate Condition and Kim Kardashian, the upcoming season has a chance to fight back and prove that Murphy and company are still capable of surprising fans. It looks like a new masterpiece of the slow-burn horror genre is on its way to capture your hearts!
