The 10th anniversary stream didn’t just tease Undertale and Deltarune — it dropped real reveals and a few curveballs.

Undertale turned 10, and its fanbase did what it does best: show up hard and weird, and raise a ton of money while they are at it. Over the weekend, a two-day anniversary stream pulled in a grand total of $347,775.35 for Doctors Without Borders. Not bad for a game about kindness and a very determined goat mom.

What actually happened

The anniversary event ran for two days and was hosted with folks from Fangamer, plus a very on-brand appearance from Undertale creator Toby Fox, who kept the mystique intact by chiming in via text-to-speech. The stream ran on a Games Done Quick-style setup where viewers donated to influence polls and in-game choices. All the funds went to Doctors Without Borders, the nonprofit that delivers medical care in crisis zones around the world.

How the money stacked up

Direct donations from viewers landed at $322,805.68. Then the auctions kicked in and pushed things even higher, adding another $24,969.67 and bringing the final take to $347,775.35. So yeah, well over $330k in total for a very good cause.

The auction highlights

  • A one-of-a-kind giant Toriel plush went for $11,000 after 188 bids. Peak Undertale energy: fans fighting over the ultimate video game mom.
  • The 10th Anniversary TV Diorama, designed by Camille Young, sold for $13,969.67 after 155 bids. It features a tiny dog with an even tinier hotdog about to fire up Undertale on a retro TV. The TV has working buttons, and the dog uses internal magnets so you can move it around. Estimated market value was $1,000, but collectors disagreed by, uh, a lot.

"The dog can be repositioned thanks to its internal magnets."

Because it is Undertale, there were teases

The stream sprinkled in a handful of Easter eggs that sent the community into detective mode. Toby was, predictably, coy about what any of it meant. Maybe hints about Undertale's future, maybe just trolling. Either way, it did exactly what it was supposed to do: keep fans buzzing while raising serious money for charity.

Bottom line

Ten years in, Undertale still has one of the most engaged fandoms in gaming, and this was that power pointed in the right direction. Cryptic teases, weird merch, a text-to-speech developer cameo, and hundreds of thousands raised for a global health nonprofit. That is a very Undertale anniversary.
