The Sorelle Dilemma: Fans Question Their Place on The Voice's Solo Stage

Season 23 of The Voice became one of the most acclaimed editions of the reality singing competition in recent years, thanks in no small part to two new judges, Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper.

Although both have brought some new and exciting ideas to the table, a few fans aren't so keen on Chance's decisions this season, questioning his choice of the sister trio Sorelle to battle it out in the finale.

While Sorelle is not the first band to compete on the show, viewers still found it surprising that a group of singers made it so far in the competition. Many fans think that each of the three girls would be perfectly capable of performing solo, and if they did, they would be less likely to participate in the show's final round. Still, most people agree that the competition is tough on everyone, both solo singers and bands, so Sorelle does not have much of an advantage, if any.

'I'm ok with groups and don't think they are at an advantage because it's the rare one that makes it to the end,' one fan summed up.

Most importantly, there is yet another reason for why Sorelle doesn't appeal to many people. While their vocals are undoubtedly great, a number of fans point out that their overall style is somewhat old-fashioned, and it may be hard for the trio to make it much further in their career even after performing in The Voice's finale.

'I don't like them because, while their individual voices are good, their harmonies sound so old-fashioned and dated and I can't imagine them putting out a recording,' another fan noted, 'They might as well be The Andrews Sisters as far as I'm concerned.'

It looks like many people will be rooting against Chance and Sorelle in the upcoming finale, as some of the other contestants seem more deserving of winning Season 23. We can't wait to see how the competition turns out for the band and wish all the best to all finalists.
