Ted Lasso, an Apple TV+ series written and produced by American actor and producer Jason Sudeikis, is set in the U.K. and features a fictional British football club and many other characters. It raises questions about how many actors on the show are actually British. Surprisingly, the answer is most of them.
According to the Wikipedia entry on the cast of Ted Lasso, the main cast consists of fifteen actors, of whom only three are not from Britain.
Jason Sudeikis, the actor behind the titular character, hails from the United States, as does his character, Kansas-born Ted, who is offered a coaching job in England.
Similarly, the American actor Brendan Hunt plays Ted's enigmatic colleague, Coach Beard. Cristo Fernández, who portrays Dani Rojas, is authentically Mexican, like his character on the show. The remaining actors are all British.
