The Crown Season 6 Pics Prove Netflix Found a Perfect Prince Charles Actor

For some reason, people are often fascinated by royalty. We tell our children stories of princes and princesses and follow news about royal families. Perhaps this is why Netflix's The Crown was an instant hit when it came out.
Premiering in 2016, this historical drama aimed to deliver a somewhat fictionalized story of Queen Elizabeth II's reign. By depicting key moments in the recent history of the British Royal family, The Crown has changed its cast several times to ensure age-appropriate actors play the characters.
The most recent update occurred before season 5, with Imelda Staunton taking on the role of Queen Elizabeth. However, it was the casting of Dominic West as Prince Charles that fans were most excited about. New photos from the upcoming sixth installment of the show offer ample proof that the actor is perfect for the role.
Prince Charles on The Crown
As Season 1 of the beloved show follows Elizabeth just before her ascension to the British throne and largely focuses on her budding relationship with the future Prince Philip, Charles is yet to be seen. In season 2, he appears on The Crown as an energetic young boy, played by Julian Baring. But it's not until season 3 that Charles III becomes a central character, portrayed in his youth by Josh O'Connor.
The audience liked the actor's performance so much that it seemed it would be a major challenge to find a worthy successor for season 5, where Charles is a mature man. Fortunately, Netflix cast Dominic West (The Wire, The Affair), who delivered a fantastic performance as the current British monarch in mid-life, despite bearing little resemblance to him.
West managed to convey Prince Charles's subtle mannerisms that make up his public persona. The newly released photos from season 6 prove this, showcasing the actor in Scottish attire standing next to his on-screen sons.

The Crown Season 6
The only season of the show filmed and produced after the passing of Prince Philip, the upcoming sixth installment is said to be the final one for the beloved drama. It will be split into two parts. The first is scheduled to premiere on November 16th, while the second part will be released on December 14th.
