Viewers are eagerly anticipating the upcoming 11 episodes of Ted Lasso season three (quick reminder: the first one is already out), and fans just can't wait to see if their soccer team will succeed in the new Premier League season.

However, it's not only the show's protagonists who get all the attention — people also look forward to the possible reappearance of some minor characters who may not be as important to the narrative but certainly add color to the fan-favorite series.

Ted Lasso follows the story of an American football coach who is invited to train AFC Richmond, an English soccer team. During the first two seasons, the team and coaching staff suffer plenty of ups and downs, but thanks to Coach Lasso, their morale rises, and AFC Richmond achieves an unprecedented promotion.

As the first episode of season three was filled with great tension for the characters, fans have expressed their hopes to see more comedic relief moments in the following episodes — and that's a good reason to remember a few minor characters we all loved in the previous seasons.

First of all, people would like to see the "Ussie" guy to reappear in the series. It seems that this character is not only a big fan of Lasso but also the one who believes in him the most. That's why he called a selfie "ussie" — for him, the photo is about "us," that is him and Ted together, rather than just himself.

Then, oddly enough, another character that the audience would like to see is… the old man who walks by. Here, fans are referring to the man in the AFC Richmond scarf who called Ted "wanker" — but in the new episodes, he could finally call him "Coach Lasso," thus illustrating the dynamics of the American coach's perception by his soccer team's fans.

Imagining how this scene could unfold, Redditor RedWine2701 said: "Last scene as Ted packs up and moves away, waiting for his taxi: 'Oi, Wanker, good job here.' Takes a few steps. 'Seriously, Coach Lasso, have a good trip back and good luck!' With a small cheeky thumbs-up like the one he gave him after the panic attack leak."

Finally, those Ted Lasso viewers who are also soccer fans in real life hope to see cameos from professional players and coaches.

New episodes of Ted Lasso's season three are scheduled to come out each Wednesday until the end of May. Episode two will hit Apple TV+ on March 22, and episode three, on March 29.
