Sweet Magnolias Season 3 Did Dana Sue Dirty in So Many Ways

Since 2020, Netflix's Sweet Magnolias has been the go-to show for all melodrama fans, as the story of three longtime friends juggling their family lives and personal issues captivated audiences with the genuine chemistry between its three leads.

However, the recently released Season 3 is seen as a major step backwards for the show, as fans began to notice poor writing, and subpar acting, describing it as a major disappointment compared to the previous stellar seasons. And it looks like Dana Sue was hurt by this drop in quality much more than the other characters.

As before, Brooke Elliot's performance as Dana was great this season, but the amount of bad writing that plagued this season prevented the actress from genuinely excelling in the role. Also, fans were really disappointed with Sweet Magnolia's choice of clothes for its characters after watching the third season, as Dana's outfits just did not match her mood at all.

Instead of making her look gorgeous, the producers forced her to wear horrible outfits with huge belts that didn't compliment Elliot's natural beauty at all, making her look like wasted potential.

'What is up with her outfits? The producers could've done much better in making her look like a fashionable plus size woman. Instead, they give her the worst outfits with hideous belts. I can't. They need to get her flattering outfits for her body type and ditch the belts,' a fan wondered.

Also, people are tired of seeing Ronnie date Dana Sue because this handsome jock is just not her type at all. There is virtually no chemistry between the two, and in every scene they share, they look like a pair of mannequins instead of two people deeply in love.

'I cringe watching her and Ronnie together. He looks like he doesn't even know how to touch her. When he hugs her it's so awkward and he's so fit and attractive,' another fan pointed out.

So it looks like the writers really need to step up their game ahead of the possible fourth season because people might stop watching Sweet Magnolias altogether if Dana Sue keeps being treated like this.
