Silo Season 2 is About to Go Even Darker
It looks like the next season of the Apple TV+ hit will be even better.
Earlier this year, Apple TV+ scored another unlikely hit with its auteur approach to creating new TV series when Silo, based on the best-selling novel series by Hugh Howey, grabbed viewers' attention from the first episode and never let go until the bombastic season finale.
Balancing suspense and a sense of adventure, the story of subterranean dwellers set in a post-apocalyptic future proved to be both scary and exciting to fans in equal measure.
And it looks like Rebecca Ferguson has finally found a project outside of Mission: Impossible where she feels completely at home, serving as one of Silo's producers and stars. Season 2 of the show has recently been confirmed, and Ferguson seems to be channeling all her energy into making Silo even better in the upcoming installment. In a recent interview, the star assured fans that the project won't be affected by any internal struggles or the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike.
'I'm producing it, and we had all of the script changes and everything prior to the strike so that we're able to continue to do it, thanks to all of the preparations that we did,' Ferguson shared. 'I think Season 1 was very, very good, but it's nothing compared to what we're doing now. We've done the introduction. We know the characters. Now it can go dark. Now things can happen.'
Yes, it looks like the already dark series is preparing to go even darker in the upcoming season, and fans are ready for such a proposition, arguing that the already established characters are quite capable of making life in the underground city a total nightmare.
With such great source material and a dedicated actress/producer, Silo is already a hit and can easily outshine other shows on the market in the following years, becoming a flagship project for Apple TV+. Be sure to check out Season 1 of the show if you haven't yet to get yourself ready for the second installment, which is expected to premiere in 2024.
