It looks like the Bridesmaids star is ready for a total transformation.

Actress and comedian Melissa McCarthy became a sensation after the release of Paul Feig's Bridesmaids in 2011, even earning an Oscar nomination for her hilarious performance. Since then, the actress has gone on a roll with her various comedic films, cementing her status as one of Hollywood's greatest leading ladies.

And even though her most recent films like Thunder Force, The Starling, and Superintelligence all flopped, the actress' transformation still made her fans extremely happy.

It's no secret that McCarthy was often bullied for her plus-size physique, resulting in her being cast in the same roles over and over again for most of her career. Even though the actress has earned a fortune from her various comedy films in the 2010s, many fans have been angry at Hollywood for always making her play an extremely funny but strange plus-size woman.

And the moment McCarthy stopped appearing in such movies, her career went downhill, with fans suspecting foul play on the part of the producers.

However, it looks like the actress is enjoying the best time of her life right now, as her recent photos show her practically glowing with energy.

Fans were also quick to notice that Melissa has lost quite a bit of weight in recent years and wondered why she decided to do so.

According to some sources, McCarthy went on a pretty strict diet after consulting with a doctor and managed to lose a staggering 75 pounds over the course of just four months.

While the actress herself revealed that this time was extremely hard for her, with constant mood swings and starvation plaguing her days, it seems that the efforts paid off, as she now looks happier than ever.

Fans are also sure that Melissa McCarthy's career will have a real renaissance this year, as her roles in The Little Mermaid, in which she plays Ursula, and Jerry Seinfeld's Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story will most likely make her an A-List star again.
