People want to see this problem solved by the end of the show.

After an extended run, Riverdale is finally drawing to a close, with the seventh and final season expected to wrap up later this summer. The CW's hit series, which reimagines the iconic Archie comic book franchise, was a huge success for the network during its initial three seasons. However, fans subsequently began to criticise Riverdale, blaming the writers for ruining the cherished franchise with their half-baked storylines, absurd plot twists, and generally poor quality of all subsequent seasons.

Additionally, the show's main actors were bound by strict contracts that restricted most of them from pursuing solo careers. With that in mind, it's not surprising that fans hate Riverdale, yet most keep watching it to find out what happens to the characters in the end.

Ever since Season 1, fans have been deeply invested in the love triangle consisting of Archie, Betty, and Veronica. It was intriguing to speculate who the main character would ultimately choose. However, after seven seasons without resolution, fans grew tired of it and urged the writers to stop the teasing and give the characters their final romantic pairings.

Nevertheless, as some fans have correctly noted, the love triangle among these three characters is a hallmark of the entire Archie arc. Betty and Veronica have been vying for Archie's affection since the characters were first introduced nearly a century ago.

'That love triangle has been going since like the 1940s. Don't see it being resolved in any form of media anytime soon. But yeah,' a fan said.

And yet, some fans are confident that Riverdale's writers will stun the world with the final season finale. It would appear that the long-standing love triangle might finally be resolved, though not in the way you might expect.

'They're kind of teasing Betty/Veronica together. If they actually do it, and it's not just a tease, props to them. I'd say while they're at it, do Archie/Jughead, but I think they've had like 1 scene together this entire season, lol,' another fan noted.

Riverdale Season 7 Episode 15 will premiere on The CW on 17 July 2023.
