The lead actress is well liked by her fellow cast members.

Starz's Outlander is by far one of the most popular fantasy shows on the air right now, and even though the last few seasons have been criticized by fans for half-baked writing and cheap-looking production design, the current Season 7 proves that the show is still going strong and is able to surprise viewers.

While Outlander's historical storyline certainly helped the show become such a huge hit, it was the insane chemistry between the two leads, Sam Heughan and Caitríona Balfe, that made the fantasy series a real deal.

With the penultimate season already on the air, fans are preparing to say goodbye to Jamie and Claire next year, and it looks like the actors themselves are quite heartbroken about the end of this part of their careers, sharing anecdotes about their days on the Outlander set and praising each other in various interviews.

And while Balfe and Hugh are certainly still quite young and have bright Hollywood careers ahead of them, it seems that even veteran actors are surprised by their acting talents. Actor Hugh Ross, who plays the treacherous Arch Bug in the current season of Outlander, recently spoke quite openly about his time with Balfe as his co-star.

'Caitríona's great, she just goes for it. She doesn't make a fuss. If it says, "Sing," she'll sing. She's thoroughly professional. From the word go, it was an extraordinarily welcoming cast,' Ross shared, 'They're great team leaders, Sam and Caitríona, really, really exceptional.'

Yes, fans once again got the confirmation of how great of an actress and person Balfe really is, and hearing such praise from a veteran actor like Ross only makes it even more pleasing. With just two more seasons to go before the big finale next year, Balfe will surely continue to showcase her talents as she prepares to launch her career in Hollywood.

Caitríona Balfe has already been cast in Rami Malek's upcoming thriller Amateur, which also stars Rachel Brosnahan and Laurence Fishburne, so it looks like the actress' talents haven't gone unnoticed by top movie producers.
