The actress has suggested a fantastic actor for the iconic role, and fans are urging producers to take note.

With Daniel Craig finally stepping down as 007 after No Time To Die, every Bond fan is eagerly anticipating the reveal of who will be taking over as the most famous secret agent. Producer Barbara Broccoli has already stated they are looking for a British-born actor under 40 and over 5'11" in height.

Fans immediately began rallying around Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Outlander's Sam Heughan as potential future Bonds. However, it appears Ana de Armas has an even more intriguing candidate in mind.

While speaking to WIRED alongside her Ghosted co-star Chris Evans, Ana decided to weigh in on the question of which actor might take on the James Bond role in the future. Her answer was quite delightful, if a bit unexpected. According to her, Paul Mescal could be the best choice, and surprisingly, fans agree.

Though Mescal was initially best known for his role in Normal People, last year proved to be a breakout year for him. He not only landed a lead role in The Gladiator 2 but also received a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his work in Aftersun.

At only 27 years of age, Mescal's acting resume already demonstrates his ability to tackle any role, whether action-oriented or performance-driven.

Standing at 5'10" and hailing from Ireland, he fits Broccoli's requirements for the role perfectly. While many in the fandom still want to see Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the role, some feel he lacks the major award nominations and is a somewhat less exciting choice than Mescal.

People are confident that Broccoli and her team will be keeping an eye on The Gladiator sequel. If Mescal can carry the massive blockbuster production single-handedly, who knows – he just might land one of the most iconic roles of all time, cementing his status as a premier British actor.
