Netflix just spoiled itself: in a hype reel for 2026, the streamer reveals the endings of a slew of 2025 releases — from Squid Game season 3 to Cobra Kai season 6 — giving away its own biggest twists.

Netflix just did the kind of stunt only Netflix would do: to hype its 2026 lineup, it put out a one-minute video that straight-up spoils the endings of a bunch of its 2025 movies, shows, and even reality series. Yes, on purpose.

What Netflix posted

The minute-long clip went up across Netflix social accounts on December 16, 2025. It opens with a spoiler warning and then speed-runs through the final twists of some of the platform's biggest 2025 releases, each summed up in just a few words.

'SPOILER ALERT: To make room for 2026, we're spoiling 2025. We're not messing around. You've been warned...'

The actual spoilers they dropped

  • Squid Game Season 3: 'Player 456 Dies. Baby Wins.'
  • Wednesday Season 2: 'Aunt Ophelia is Alive.'
  • KPop Demon Hunters: 'The Honmoon Is Closed.'

That isn't the full list. The video also tags endings for other heavy hitters, including You Season 5, Monster: The Ed Gein Story, Adolescence, Zero Day, and more. The clip moves fast, but the message is pretty blunt: if it was a big Netflix thing in 2025, they probably spoiled it.

The Stranger Things fake-out

When it gets to Stranger Things Season 5, the video pulls a classic tease. It flashes 'They All...' and then smash-cuts to black with the message 'What Next?' Why the dodge? Part 2 and the series finale weren't out yet when the clip dropped. Netflix has the last two releases slated for December 25 and December 31, 2025, respectively, so no ending to spoil... yet.

2025 was stacked, which makes this even funnier

Netflix had a loaded year across genres and formats: new seasons of Squid Game (Season 3), Cobra Kai (Season 6 Part 3), and Wednesday (Season 2), plus movies like Happy Gilmore 2 and the animated KPop Demon Hunters all hit in 2025. So choosing to burn through the final beats in a one-minute social video is a choice. A very Netflix choice.

One awards note while we're here

Alongside the spoiler reel, Netflix also called out standout performances from its 2025 slate. Worth flagging: Owen Cooper picked up the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor for Adolescence at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Bottom line: if you care about spoilers, avoid that video like it's the Upside Down. If you love chaos marketing, Netflix just gave you an early Christmas present.
