Move Over, OG Real Housewives! We Rank the Best Newbies of the Last 12 Years
It's time to rank all the newcomers to the famous franchise.
Bravo's Real Housewives franchise is still one of the most popular reality shows out there, with each spin-off introducing viewers to a new and exciting cast of larger-than-life personalities, while the different locations make watching the shows an extremely compelling experience.
The original series set in New York or Beverly Hills are still the face of the franchise, but the spin-offs that have emerged in the last 12 years are certainly rivaling them in popularity.
Here are all the new Real Housewives shows, ranked.
The Real Housewives of Miami (2011–…)
IMDb: 3.7
While the Miami-based spin-off is one of the longest-running of the new batch of series, the show itself is considered to be severely underwhelming in terms of interesting characters or compelling drama. Some fans consider it to be one of the most chaotic of all the Real Housewives shows, which certainly makes it a must-see if you're into that sort of thing. Get ready for some good old-fashioned sun-drenched drama!
The Real Housewives of Dallas (2016–2021)
IMDb: 4.9
The defunct Dallas-based spin-off looked promising on paper, as seeing what Texas housewives were up to was a refreshing idea for the longtime fans. When it premiered, however, the show proved to be a major disappointment — both the cast and the production left a lot to be desired, the drama felt flat, and the backstories lacked any kind of juice. Approach with caution!
The Real Housewives of Potomac (2016–…)
IMDb: 5.4
Despite its Maryland setting, the Potomac spin-off managed to win over fans almost instantly, thanks to its colorful cast and variety of action in each episode. In addition, Karen Huger became an overnight sensation after appearing on the show, making the entire spin-off revolve around her larger-than-life persona.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (2020–…)
IMDb: 6.1
Although the Salt Lake City-set show is still relatively young, fans are already calling it a worthy successor to the original series, as each and every contestant here feels like a real person and potential superstar. This show is juicy, dramatic, and chaotic in the best possible way.
