It looks like Rauch's believable acting almost caused some problems.

Since its premiere in 2007, The Big Bang Theory has been an extremely successful show, but as time went on, fans began to get a little bored with the main characters' personalities remaining the same. That's why the writers decided to introduce a brand new character, Bernadette, who was supposed to change Howard for the better with her love and then disappear from the story for good.

However, actress Melissa Rauch enchanted the audience so much that the producers decided to keep her as one of the main characters, later giving viewers one of the best anecdotes TBBT has ever seen.

In one of the last seasons of the show, Penny and Bernadette are spending the night together in a hotel room, and while this seems like a perfect setup for a joke, the real laugh was behind the screen, not in the episode itself.

When Bernadette gets cold, she crawls under the blanket and starts rubbing her hands together, visibly indicating how cold and miserable she is. And while Rauch was totally committed to this scene, the reaction of the producers was quite surprising — they banned the hands rubbing moment and forced Rauch to reshoot it. Here's why.

'I had a little incident [...] I had it as my character. We were shooting a scene, and I'm supposed to be in a hotel bed [...] I'm under the covers and it's really cold on set, and I'm under there, and out of habit, I'm doing this under the covers [mimes rubbing her hands together in her lap] and after the scene was over, our director came over and said, "We need to see your hands, it looked like you were having way too much fun",' Rauch shared.

Apparently, the actress ruined the whole scene with her believable impression of some very private activity without actually explaining it, which has to be one of the funniest things that ever happened on TBBT behind the screens.

Sadly, this scene has been erased from existence, so fans should give up all hope of seeing this hysterical version with their own eyes.
