It seems that the contestants themselves are much less critical of the hosts than the fans.

Netflix's Love Is Blind Season 4 proved to be a rather problematic installment of the reality dating competition, as fans were disappointed with the season's less than genuine relationships and accused the streaming giant of premiering a half-baked project.

The live reunion episode became even more controversial, as viewers began to call out hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey for making the whole thing about themselves and promoting their interests instead of the contestants'.

People were so angry that they even started a petition to have the hosts fired from the show, and more than 40,000 fans agreed and signed it. However, it seems that the contestants themselves do not support such an initiative.

Recently, Love Is Blind contestants Natalie Lee and Deepti Vempati broke their silence about Nick and Vanessa's possible elimination and jumped to the defense of the controversial hosts. From their point of view, Nick and Vanessa did nothing wrong and even the rumors about them picking favorites were not true.

'Look, I know we're biased because, of course, we know Vanessa and Nick. We really considered them as Mom and Dad during filming. They played this role of mentors to us, providing advice as we were making our decision to say "I do" or "I don't" on our wedding day,' Lee said.

So it looks like the former Love Is Blind contestants want Nick and Vanessa to return for the future episodes, as the couple was seemingly very supportive of every contestant on the show. However, even though Lee and Vempati defended the hosts, fans are still not changing their stance on the matter.

Fans argue that while the Lacheys might be really pleasant people in real life, their behavior as hosts is not acceptable, as their constant chasing of power is really hurting the process of watching the show.

Netflix representatives have yet to comment on the whole controversy, and fans are hoping that whatever decision is made will be in their favor, not Nick and Vanessa's.
