It looks like the recent rumor about the Netflix reality show might be just wishful thinking.

After the live reunion episode of Love Is Blind finally hit Netflix, a huge backlash against hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey broke out in the public, forcing the streaming giant to take immediate action.

Viewers simply hated the way the hosts treated the contestants, accusing them of playing favorites and trying to promote themselves instead of treating everyone objectively. Fans even went so far as to create a petition asking Netflix to fire Nick and Vanessa from Love Is Blind, which received more than 40,000 votes.

And it looks like Netflix is going to do something about it, because Daily Mail recently published a report based on the rumors that Nick and Vanessa will be replaced by Love Is Blind's favorite couple Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton. However, the whole article was based on rumors only, without any official comments from Netflix representatives provided, forcing fans to really doubt this scoop.

'Are there any real sources confirming this? Or is it just one of those articles hoping to cause what their reporting about?' one fan asked.

Though fans are not buying this scoop at all, they are sticking by it and hoping that the Lacheys will be fired, as the duo has made both the show itself and the live reunion episode unbearable to watch. Nick and Vanessa are clearly not interested in their hosting duties and are only doing it for the money and publicity.

People feel that Lauren and Cameron would be a much better fit to host the show, as the pair has first-hand experience on Love Is Blind as contestants, and they both have the vibrant personalities needed to get the project off the ground.

On the other hand, some fans feel that Netflix should go in a different direction altogether, moving away from the idea of hiring couples to host in favor of more experienced people.

'Why can't the production company hire a real host? Is money that tight? There are so many good options. I also don't see the point of having a couple host it,' another fan argued.

It remains unclear what Netflix is going to do in the tough situation that they have found themselves in, but fans certainly hope for a positive change.
