The two celebrities are really good friends.

While Paul Wesley hasn't been able to progress with his career since The Vampire Diaries ended in 2017, he's still a very popular personality, with millions of dollars and the undying support of fans proving that his days as a Hollywood star are not over.

Apparently, the actor is now keeping himself busy by partying and sailing on a yacht, as he was recently pictured enjoying a summer vacation in Saint-Tropez, France, with his friends and girlfriend. However, people were not as interested in Wesley once they saw who was on the yacht with him.

Ex-One Direction member Liam Payne was spotted hanging out with The Vampire Diaries star, which came as a huge surprise to fans of both celebrities, as neither of them had ever been seen together in public before.

While most people were happy to learn that the two stars are great friends, some were a bit freaked out by how quickly Payne and Wesley started hanging out together.

Considering that Wesley apparently invited Payne to Saint-Tropez to celebrate his birthday, this means that the two are pretty close because The Vampire Diaries actor didn't invite any other celebs to his 41st birthday party. And the two are not keeping their friendship a secret, taking pics with each other for Instagram.

Since both Wesley and Payne haven't been doing so well in recent years, struggling to live up to the glory days of the early 2010s, some fans were quick to suggest that they could've bonded over their shared problems and decided to party hard on a luxurious yacht instead of worrying about anything.

While Wesley is currently worth just $6 million, Payne is significantly richer than his new best friend, sitting at a comfortable $70 million. And while the two are certainly spending a lot of money on their trips to Saint-Tropez, Wesley must be the one paying for the yacht since it was his birthday, not Liam's.

Perhaps now that Wesley and Payne have gone public with their bromance, we can expect to see them together on red carpets and talk shows? In any case, fans of both Wesley and Payne are happy that the two have become friends and hope that the talented duo may even collaborate on a project in the future.
