Korea, espionage, superpowers… What could be more exciting?

Korean dramas continue to conquer the global market with their original plots, solid storytelling and direction, and acting that may seem unusual at first but is undeniably expressive. And this August, we were blessed with a new Korean show that has become the most-watched project on Disney+ and Hulu.

We're talking about Moving, a supernatural drama with elements of the spy genre, based on the eponymous webtoon by Kang Full. After it launched on Disney+ in 65 countries, Moving became the most-watched series in the Asia-Pacific region and the most-watched premiere in the Korean segment on Disney+.

With such an unprecedented popularity that only Squid Game is able to match, Moving is definitely worth a try even if you're not a fan of Korean cinema.

'The global consumer response towards the first 11 episodes of Moving has exceeded our expectations,' Disney's executive vice president of original content for the Asia-Pacific region Carol Choi said. 'From the US to all across APAC, it is fast becoming a breakout hit with its captivating storyline, world-class cast, and incredible post-production effects — all coming together to deliver exceptional storytelling.'

The show is centered around three high school students (played by Lee Jung-ha, Go Yoon-jung, Kim Do-hoon) who discover that they have supernatural powers such as levitation, regeneration, superhuman strength and speed. It turns out that their parents (Ryu Seung-ryong, Zo In-sung, Han Hyo-joo, Kim Sung-kyun), who lead normal adult lives, also have these abilities and are former spies hunted by both the Korean NIS and the American CIA.

Kang Full himself is responsible for the script, so those familiar with the source material may not worry about the quality of the adaptation. Additionally, the show's composer is Dalpalan, who rose to fame for his work on 2016's cult Korean horror The Wailing.

Most people who have seen Moving praise the show in rave reviews.

'I went into this knowing absolutely nothing: didn't watch the trailer, didn't know the plot, didn't even know it was based off a webtoon… I binged it all last night until 4 am. This was so incredibly good,' a Redditor said.

In particular, viewers applaud the show's storytelling that keeps you invested in the plot and characters throughout the available episodes.

'The world-building, character development, and backstories (good use of flashbacks) is excellent,' another fan commented on Reddit.

The next two episodes will be released on August 30, and the three-part finale is scheduled for September 20.
