House of Guinness has seemingly poured out all of Season 1, but fans are still asking: is Episode 9 on tap, and when would it drop? Here’s the latest on the release date and time.

If you were waiting around for House of Guinness Season 1, Episode 9... yeah, that barrel is empty. Netflix dropped the whole season at once, people binged through it, and now everyone is asking if there’s a surprise ninth chapter. Short answer: there isn’t.

  • Is there a Season 1, Episode 9? No. Season 1 ends at Episode 8.
  • Release pattern: All eight episodes launched together on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
  • Where to watch: Netflix.
  • Renewal status: Not renewed or canceled yet.
  • Creator: Steven Knight (the Peaky Blinders guy).
  • Main cast: Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn, Fionn O'Shea, David Wilmot, and more.
  • Premise snapshot: Dublin, 1868. The Guinness titan is dead, and his four heirs - Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben - are left juggling secrets and control of the brewery.

So... is Season 1 over?

Yep. Season 1 is done and dusted. All episodes went live Thursday, September 25, 2025, and there are no additional installments coming for this season. That means no Episode 9 next week, no midseason bonus, no hidden ep. Eight and out.

As for the future, Netflix hasn’t made a call either way. No renewal, no cancellation. The show’s playing it coy.

What the show actually is

House of Guinness is a historical drama from Steven Knight, who built Peaky Blinders. This one shifts to 19th-century Dublin right after the death of Benjamin Guinness, the force behind the brewery’s rise. The story follows his four kids - Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben - as they try to steer the empire while hiding their own messes. It’s dynastic power games with hops.

The cast includes Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn, Fionn O'Shea, David Wilmot, and more.

Season 2? The creator is doing the wink-nod thing

Given how tangled the real Guinness history is, there’s plenty of runway for more. Steven Knight basically teased as much in The Irish Sun when asked if Season 2 was in play:

"I’m not allowed to say anything but I’m nodding."

Classic non-answer answer. Take that as hopeful, not official.

Where to watch

Season 1 is streaming now on Netflix. If you live in Netflix’s algorithm, you know the neighborhood: Wednesday, Stranger Things, Bridgerton, Squid Game, etc. House of Guinness fits right into the glossy, historical, backstabby lane.
