It looks like Apple TV's biggest show is in trouble.

When it was first announced that Silo would be joining the growing roster of Apple TV + shows, no one expected the Rebecca Ferguson-led series about a group of people living in an underground structure in a post-apocalyptic world to become the biggest show in the streaming service's catalogue.

But even though millions of people worldwide are now dying to see the sci-fi saga's second season, it looks like it will be coming to Apple TV much later than expected, all because of the ongoing WGA and SAG strikes.

It's not just Silo: all of Hollywood is in a lot of trouble right now, as writers have been on strike for weeks, refusing to work on the production of movies and TV shows, forcing major studios to postpone their projects for the foreseeable future. However, it would appear that Ferguson and her crew may have been thinking about the possibility of a WGA strike long before it officially began, as the actress assured the show's fans that production on Season 2 would begin on schedule.

'I'm producing it, and we had all of the script changes and everything prior to the strike so that we're able to continue to do it, thanks to all of the preparations that we did. I'm full in. I'm soul, heart, and body in this project,' the actress said.

The thing is, she said that before the SAG went on strike, and while Silo Season 2 may already have its script ready, production now cannot start because now the actors are on strike, too. Now, not all of the actors working on the show are SAG members, as they are members of the UK's Equity; the problem is that most of the cast are Americans and filming the show without them would be impossible.

Fans are naturally bummed out about the prospect of having to wait even longer for Silo's second season, as its production will now have been put on hold until the strike is over.

'I can't imagine they will keep production going much longer. Multiple actors they have are a part of SAG and they can't film without them. Maybe they will get everything filmed they can without them? But at some point, they must stop production,' a fan noted.
