Helen Mirren Had the Best Reaction to 1923 Bedroom Scenes With Harrison Ford

As evidenced by its viewership and swift renewal, 1923 is a worthy spin-off of Yellowstone.

Much of the show's popularity is due to its cast, among whom Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, starring as Jacob and Cara Dutton, stand out the most.

With the second season expected to arrive at the end of 2023, The Wrap had invited several 1923 actors for a talk. Some of the topics addressed in the conversation were fairly predictable, like what we should expect from Season 2, but no beans were spilled, as the actors themselves have no idea what it will be like — so far, Taylor Sheridan is the only person who has seen the script.

But then other moments were more interesting. Helen Mirren showered Harrison Ford with praise, lauding his professionalism and humility and noting that he is the complete opposite of the usual spoiled, arrogant superstar stereotype.

You might not remember, but the two actors had actually collaborated as the leading pair decades ago, in the now-obscure drama series The Mosquito Coast (1986). It is notable that Mirren had a chance to meet Ford at the relatively early stages of his career and today — and what's more, the actress now seems to be totally infatuated with her co-star!

Just see what she said about their bedroom scenes together:

'I had to be in the bed with him, you know. I'm dressed up to here,' she said, pointing to her neck. 'But I'm lying there and I'm thinking, "I'm in bed with Harrison Ford." I was so excited, I can't tell you. I had to pretend to be cool. Don't tell him.'

Helen said that Ford was 'immensely generous and incredibly professional' and then added: 'I genuinely love him. If I wasn't married…'

Well, it looks like Helen Mirren has a crush on Harrison Ford, which may displease her husband of 26 years, Taylor Hackford. That's too bad, Helen — if you really have romantic feelings for Harrison, you should have acted on them when you first met on The Mosquito Coast!
