Warner Bros.' Harry Potter TV reboot keeps moving, and the conversation has shifted to the last face you want to meet in a corridor: Voldemort. The latest chatter says the studio has a very familiar name circled for the Dark Lord.
Where the show stands
The series is deep into production and aiming to land in early 2027. The plan is straightforward: seven seasons adapting the seven original novels, with a brand-new cast stepping into the robes. Ralph Fiennes defined Voldemort on the big screen starting with 2005's Goblet of Fire and showed up in three of the next four films as the wizard obsessed with power, immortality, and bending the world to his will. Fans have loudly floated names like Cillian Murphy and Matt Smith for the role this time around. Bettany would bring a different flavor, plus plenty of franchise mileage.
