Apple TV sets the Shrinking Season 3 release date and drops first-look photos, as the hit 2023 series returns with 11 episodes led by Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, Michael Urie, and Lukita Maxwell.
Apple TV finally put a date on Shrinking season 3, and yeah, it is not coming anytime soon. Mark your calendar for 2026. The upside: they dropped first-look photos, and the cast lineup is loaded.
When it drops
Shrinking returns Wednesday, January 28, 2026 with a one-hour premiere. After that, new episodes roll out every Wednesday through April 9, 2026. The season runs 11 episodes total. Apple TV also released first-look images from the new season to hold us over until then.
What the show is (still) about
If you missed the first two runs: Shrinking follows therapist Jimmy, who loses his wife and decides to stop hiding behind the usual professional filter. He starts telling his patients exactly what he thinks, which is therapeutic for some, chaotic for others, and a mess for him. The comedy-drama comes from Jason Segel, Bill Lawrence (Bad Monkey), and Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso).
