Yes, you heard it right – Kim bought the prop for half a million dollars. While it may be ridiculous, since it's highly unlikely that the crown really costs that much, fans on Reddit decided to speculate about what that means.
Since Kim recently rented (and reportedly ruined) Marilyn Monroe's iconic dress and bought Princess Diana jewelry, people believe that the reality TV star is trying to buy her way into legendary woman status for fear of being forgotten.
People strongly believe that by buying the crown from the popular show, Kim is trying to ride the hype train without really caring about the character that wore it. And while spending such a large sum of money is certainly not a problem for her, many believe that it doesn't look like a power move, but it rather reeks of despair.
Others took the situation more lightly, joking that HBO needed to cover the cost of those glorious VFX dragons. A small number of fans even believe that Kim's purchase was just a publicity stunt to further fuel interest in the series.
