However, not every new contestant is beloved by viewers, as four-time Olympic gold medalist Sanya Ross certainly proved when she joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta back in Season 14.
Sanya has been on the show for two seasons, and fans are already sure that she's not Housewife material at all. Here are five reasons why.
She's boring
While Sanya is undoubtedly one of the greatest American athletes of this century, she's just not that exciting to follow because her career highlights don't translate well to the reality TV format.
Throughout Season 14, Sanya followed the lead of other housewives instead of creating some juicy drama of her own.
Her family is too big
Although it's great that Sanya has so many family members with her at all times, many fans aren't pleased about it, saying that her household often feels like a chaotic circus instead of a cozy home. The amount of hectic energy her family generates only ruins Sanya's chances of becoming a popular presence on the show.
She pretends too much
While most fans are sure that Sanya is a very genuine and caring person, it looks like Real Housewives persona is drastically different from her real personality. People want to see Sanya act like herself, but she ends up pretending on camera to look more like the other contestants.
The show doesn't play to her strengths
When it was announced that Sanya would be joining the show prior to Season 14, viewers were eager to see the athlete on the track doing what she does best. But sadly, Sanya has never been filmed running!
This is a disappointment for fans and a huge mistake on the part of the producers, as Sanya's athleticism is a big part of her appeal.
She is from another world
Sanya can spend thousands of dollars on lavish parties trying to look more like the other housewives, but this doesn't convince fans who still think that she's simply from a different world. This makes her presence on the show seem like a waste of time for Sanya herself as well as the audience.
