It looks like the winner of the current season has already been chosen.

While Survivor 44 started off as a total train wreck, with fans decrying the poorly developed challenges, obvious scripted moments, and subpar chemistry between the contestants, the show managed to come into its own in the second half of this season.

As a few boring and uninspiring castaways were eliminated, the remaining contestants began to shine, delighting fans week after week as they slowly progressed toward the finale. But which of the remaining six will take home the prize?

Of the three tribes in Survivor 44, Tika is by far the most successful, as both of this season's frontrunners, Yamil 'Yam Yam' Arocho and Carolyn Wiger, are members of the tribe. And while Yam Yam may be the most lovable contestant to appear on the show, capable of winning almost any challenge thanks to his physical prowess, Carolyn is believed to fare much better in the competition — and here's why.

Initially, fans thought that Carolyn was just another boring castaway, incapable of coming up with clever ideas or outperforming the other survivors. However, she managed to put those thoughts to rest almost immediately, making it clear that she joined Season 44 for one reason only — to win.

Carolyn's great strategic thinking, weird but compelling sense of humor, and strong bond with Yam Yam convinced fans that she's the main frontrunner this season, and her performance in the last episode only reaffirmed that idea.

During the voting ceremony last episode, Carolyn unexpectedly revealed that she has an immunity idol, leaving every other contestant gasping in surprise as she has been keeping it a secret for quite some time. With this sudden revelation, fans are one hundred percent sure that she will at least make it to the final three, and a behind-the-scenes Twitter feud proves this notion once again.

'I've thought she was winning since her Twitter beef with Russel. Specifically, her posting Russel getting voted out. Just thought [it] would be a weird thing to do if she didn't at least make [the] final tribal,' a fan pointed out, suggesting that Carolyn's decision to call out Russell Hantz for crying looked like something only a winner could do.

We'll see if Carolyn will be able to achieve her ambition in the next Episode 14, which will arrive on CBS on May 17.

Survivor 44's final episode will air on May 24, 2023.
