It appears as though the actor may be forgiven.

Thanks to the success of films such as Call Me by Your Name, Dune, and The King, Timothée Chalamet has become one of the most sought-after figures in the film industry. Fans swoon over his flawless features, while critics praise his astute selection of top-tier roles. However, while Chalamet has presented himself as a humble, grounded individual since his initial breakthrough roles, this image seems to have faltered as accusations of selfishness and power-seeking have begun to surface.

Interestingly, Chalamet's sister, Pauline, is also an actress. Although she's far from reaching her brother's level of success, she maintains a fairly active career. Timothée has always supported her, even once promising never to miss any of her film premieres. Unfortunately, he did not keep this promise.

Scandal

Last week, Pauline was basking in the limelight on the red carpet for her latest film, What Doesn't Float. However, her brother was conspicuously absent. As it transpired, Timothée was in Milan with his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, seemingly unconcerned about his sister's premiere.

Fans were understandably upset, labeling Chalamet as selfish and accusing him of prioritizing his new girlfriend over his own sister. After all, couldn't Kylie and Timothée have postponed their trip to Milan?

'I mean there's literally videos from years ago from people who went to the same Hollywood prep school as him calling him out for being an arrogant toxic diva and now I guess finally people are seeing through his good guy act,' a fan said.

Chalamet Did Nothing Wrong

Despite the backlash, it would appear that Chalamet may be forgiven for missing his sister's premiere. The ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike actually prevented him from promoting even his own forthcoming film, Wonka. If he had appeared on his sister's red carpet, the commission could have accused him of violating the strike, a situation Chalamet would want to avoid.

So, it appears that Chalamet and Kylie may have been justified in spending some time in Milan after all.
