'Crazy Stuff' Coming in Outlander Season 7 Part 2; Too Bad We'll Have to Wait Until 2024
Fans are furious over the long wait.
After almost a decade on the air, Starz's Outlander is still one of the most popular TV shows, following the time-traveling romance of Jamie and Claire Fraiser. Even though the last few seasons were a bit disappointing for viewers, the recently released eight episodes of Season 7 proved that the writers are doing their best to make the show as compelling as possible — and fans are thankful for that.
Unfortunately, not everyone was aware that the network had no intention of showing all of Season 7 at once, but instead broke it up into two batches, with the second part arriving in 2024.
Naturally, fans were quite upset about this, wondering why Starz didn't shoot the entire installment at once, since the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes were not in effect when Season 7 was filmed. And now that the strikes are preventing the cast from promoting the upcoming Part 2, the network will most likely delay its release for a long time, resulting in another extended period of Droughtlander.
But hey, at least it looks like the upcoming second half will be even better than the first, as series producer Maril Davis recently shared her excitement for what's to come, describing the second batch of episodes as one of the best seasons Outlander has ever seen.
'The first half was so good but I'm so excited for people to see the second half because I think [it is] almost even better [...] There's so many twists and turns and ups and downs, and just crazy stuff that happens to our characters. If anything, I think we've just ratcheted it up one more level for the second half. I'm super excited. I know it's a while to go potentially till we see that second half, but it's even more exciting probably than the first half,' Davis said.
While it's great to know that the quality of the show isn't dropping after such a long wait, fans are still not happy about waiting almost half a year for Season 7 Part 2. Hopefully, the strikes will soon come to an end, and we'll see the new episodes premiere in early 2024.
