Christine Quinn's Selling Sunset Ending Prediction is Rather Grim
It looks like the glory days of Netflix's hit reality show are numbered.
Netflix's Selling Sunset became a huge hit for the streaming service's reality TV division when the series premiered in 2019, as fans loved following the work and personal lives of high-end Los Angeles-area real estate agents.
The original cast was colorful and bright, the homes they sold were unique and luxurious, and the show's drama was certainly one of the strongest among its competitors. And though the series still seems to be going strong, one former cast member is pretty sure that Selling Sunset will be canceled sooner than expected.
Christine Quinn, who was a major part of the project through its fifth season, has always been a fan favorite even despite her villainous status on the show.
People admit that while Quinn's antics were sometimes a bit much, it was clear that she cared for her co-stars and the show itself. With Quinn gone from Selling Sunset, the producers decided to flood the show with new contestants, and both Quinn and the fans are not really supportive of that decision.
"The original recipe we had worked. When you keep bringing in new characters, it dilutes what people originally fell in love with. I definitely think it's going to be a completely different show, and I don't think as many people are going to tune in. And then the people that do tune in are going to realize it's very different. They have to get to know a lot more characters.
It's not as glamorous. It's not as fun anymore. I think it's probably going to be the last season of Selling Sunset," Quinn said to People.
While Netflix has already renewed Selling Sunset for seasons six and seven, Quinn is sure that season six will be the last, as the streaming giant has decided to reverse its previous decision regarding the show's future. But first, all parties should wait until the next season is released to see how well the new cast members are received by the audience. Perhaps Quinn's comments are a bit premature, fans argue.
