It looks like the actor's exit from the hit show didn't hurt him at all.

Colin Donnell first caught the attention of the audience on the hit series Arrow, but his true fame came when he joined NBC's Chicago Med as the lovable Dr. Connor Rhodes. Though his stint on the show was short-lived, as he left after only five seasons, fans continued to follow the actor in his creative endeavors.

While Donnell's Peacock series Irreverent showed a lot of promise last year, the actor got a real boost in popularity after posting some rather revealing photos on Instagram recently.

The actor has always been considered a bit of a heartthrob, and yet, Colin never really got the chance to flex his muscles, and for a good reason. According to the star himself, he only recently started working out and has taken to his new hobby with passion, spending countless hours in the gym. And Donnell's recent hot photos on his Instagram page really show that those efforts were not in vain!

Fans were shocked to see the actor in such great shape, saying that he is now capable of starring in any action movie he wants, as his physical appearance is totally on par with the biggest action stars in Hollywood.

One of the commenters even joked that Colin might be preparing to join the MCU, referring to the fact that Paul Rudd and Chris Pratt were both unexpectedly ripped just because of their involvement in the franchise.

All kidding aside, Colin Donnell seems to be taking his health very seriously, sharing a lot of links to fitness influencers in the caption of these photos. And don't worry, he won't be deleting this post anytime soon, as his wife Patti Murin demanded in the comments that he keep these pictures on his Instagram page.

So while the wait for the next season of Irreverent will be a long one, we can always hope that Colin will decide to share more of his pictures to keep fans entertained in the meantime.
