The singer's health has caused concern among her fans.

Without a doubt, the girls of K-pop band BLACKPINK are the most popular singers in the world right now, with their tours selling out the moment tickets become available and their albums and singles also selling in the millions.

The ongoing Born Pink World Tour is a huge deal for all BLACKPINK fans around the world, but the attendees at the concert in Melbourne, Australia, were denied the chance to see all the girls perform together.

Jennie Kim left mid-concert during the Melbourne show on June 11, 2023. What happened to her?

According to the official response from YG Entertainment, Jennie was forced to leave the stage due to her deteriorating health. The star was simply unable to perform and rushed backstage to meet with a doctor.

'Jennie expressed her strong determination to carry on with the performance until the end. However, following medical advice on site, we immediately took measures to ensure she receives ample rest and stability. Jennie has conveyed her regrets for not being able to stay with the fans until the end, and assures that she will recover as soon as possible,' YG Entertainment's representatives said.

Fortunately, Jennie is already feeling better and looking forward to singing at the rest of the tour concerts. This makes her fans a little less worried about the singer's health, but they're still concerned that the medical condition behind Jennie's mid-concert exit was never made known by the singer or her reps.

While people are speculating that something serious may be troubling the star, YG Entertainment's decision not to disclose any details about Jennie's medical condition are understandable. One's health is a private and sensitive matter, and Jennie should not be pressured to share her health issues with fans, even if they are worried for her.

On a positive note, even those fans who failed to see Jennie onstage during the ongoing BLACKPINK tour have a chance to see her in HBO's new series The Idol, where she plays a supporting role alongside The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp. Though many criticize the show for its controversial plot and excessive nudity, Jennie's debut role is one thing that makes The Idol worth watching.
