Fans just can't seem to stand Howard in one of TBBT's most disgusting episodes.

The CBS series The Big Bang Theory was one of the greatest sitcoms of its generation, proving that even the weirdest characters can become beloved. And the show's main characters were, to say the least, rather odd, as Sheldon, Leonard, Raj and Howard proved with each new episode that they were completely incapable of living the life of normal people.

However, even they occasionally broke the boundaries of acceptable behavior, and one episode with Howard in the spotlight is the clearest example of this.

In the first episode of the fourth season, entitled The Robotic Manipulation, Howard gets his hands on an interesting piece of technology – a robotic arm that can be programmed to do almost anything.

Big Bang Theory Episode That Still Bugs Even the Most Loyal Sheldon Fans

At first Howard used it for various innocuous things, including massages, but then his creepy side took over and he came up with the brilliant idea of using the arm for his own pleasure. Needless to say, the idea proved unsuccessful from the start: the robotic arm got stuck, and Howard had to call an ambulance to save his dignity.

Needless to say, fans were majorly creeped out by Howard's actions, calling him a creep and a pervert.

Before Howard met Bernadette, he often exhibited creepy tendencies, which made fans feel a little uncomfortable in his company. And in this particular episode, Howard peaked his creepiness, and people were clearly fed up with it, admitting they skipped The Robot Manipulation on repeat viewing.

However, Howard is still a beloved character and even his creepy side is liked by some, but for some reason seeing him with a robotic arm connected to his crotch in a general hospital really bothered fans, who preferred that the sitcom stick to family humor without going unnecessarily into adult territory.

This Piece of 90s Technology Got Young Sheldon Fans All Confused

Luckily, Bernadette came along and saved both fans and Howard from repeating this awful scenario. Let's put the whole robotic arm thing behind us!
