Are Sex/Life Co-Stars Adam Demos & Sarah Shahi Dating in Real Life?

The L Word alum returned to television in a big way, signing on to star in a hot drama about an unhappy housewife who leaves her normal life and travels down memory lane to fix her past mistakes.

Though Sex/Life didn't become a huge hit and was shelved by Netflix after its second season, it seems that the show helped Sarah Shahi realize that her own life wasn't perfect at all.

While rumors of Shahi leaving her husband Steve Howey for co-star Adam Devos have been circulating for some time, Shahi's recent comments shed some new light on the situation.

The actress revealed that she and Steve struggled for nearly a decade to be happy together, trying to find time for each other while raising children and pursuing careers. In the end, Shahi just got tired of wasting her life and used the Sex/Life script as inspiration to finally move on.

She filed for divorce in 2020 and only then began dating Devos, whom she met during the production of the show. In the series, the two actors shared many steamy scenes together, leading fans to wonder if they were dating in real life.

'I was going through a time where I was really sort of living in a state of unhappiness. I was just questioning everything. As a wife and as a mom, you get told, "Well, but you have it good. You have it good." I just felt so unseen,' Shahi said on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. '[Sex/Life] gave me the courage to say, "I'm not happy." And I feel like we should as individuals have the right to be happy.'

As of now, Shahi and Devos are still very much in love and continue to date and enjoy their time together Although the future of Sex/Life is still up in the air, if season two lives up to Netflix's expectations, we might see the two actors in a number hot scenes together again — and their on-screen passion will probably be even more convincing than before.
