Andy Cohen Passed On Meghan Markle as a Watch What Happens Live Guest

Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became a couple in 2016, they have shocked the public more than once, sharing controversial comments about the royal family and distancing themselves from the British monarchy over the years.

Recently, the Duchess of Sussex has caused a stir once again with her decision to skip King Charles' coronation on May 6, which led many people to criticize Meghan's disrespectful attitude towards her husband's family and traditions.

But even though most people disapprove of Meghan Markle's behavior and influence on Harry, she still remains an important and highly popular media personality, and many talk shows would kill for the chance to have her as a guest. However, it looks like Bravo's Andy Cohen missed out on this opportunity already, and the Duchess will never grace his show Watch What Happens Live after he rejected her as a guest earlier.

In his recently released book, Daddy Diaries, Andy Cohen shared one controversial episode with his readers, revealing that he once refused to have Meghan Markle as a guest on his chat show. At the time, Markle was famous as a star of Suits, and she was apparently a big fan of the Real Housewives franchise, which is why she expressed her interest in coming on Watch What Happens Live. Sadly, the host wasn't keen on having the future duchess in his studio.

According to Cohen, he simply didn't like Suits, describing it as a shallow show with no character at all. Although the series went on to become a huge hit, Cohen didn't want to promote it, and fans agree that it's a fair reason to reject a guest — however, given Meghan's future popularity, the situation still feels like a huge missed opportunity.

Cohen himself is obviously a bit bitter about his decision, as the Duchess will surely never step foot on the set of his show in the future, remembering the time the host said no to her. Besides, Markle Markle is much more famous now than she was back then, and Watch What Happens Live might be a bit too small to feature an interview with the Hollywood royalty.
