American Idol Fans Call for Adam Lambert to Replace Luke Bryan as a Judge
The former American Idol winner seems to be the best option to keep the judging panel fresh.
American Idol Season 21 has already become one of the most controversial instalments in the history of the reality singing competition, and it appears that the judges are at the centre of the controversy.
Katy Perry began the season by mom-shaming a contestant and continued with questionable comments and perplexing safe picks throughout the rest of the season, while Ryan Seacrest essentially insulted singers who failed to make the Top 26.
With all the controversy eclipsing the contestants themselves, fans have had enough of the drama and are calling on ABC to fire one of the judges and bring in some new blood. And they have already decided who would make a perfect judge on the show!
The idea emerged from a recently released episode where former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert visited the contestants to mentor them. Despite his laid-back attitude, Lambert proved to be an excellent coach, giving Megan Danielle and We Ani some valuable advice and significantly improving their stage skills before their performances. Fans took notice, arguing that Lambert would make a perfect judge.
While Perry is undoubtedly the most controversial of the judges, fans are reluctant to see her leave, as her personality is just too vibrant and captivating, and the show would be far less entertaining without her.
Instead, people are targeting Luke Bryan as the judge to replace, calling him the blandest member of the panel. Although he offers some interesting advice to the contestants, his primary purpose on the panel seems to be representing the country genre, and fans believe the show will do just fine without him.
However, not everyone agrees, as some wonder if Lionel Richie has overstayed his welcome and whether Lambert would be a better replacement for him rather than Bryan.
‘Luke actually gives valuable insight every now and then. As lovable and wise as Lionel is, he just song critique anyone and he says the same 5 things every year,’ a fan said.
It looks like ABC should heed the fans' advice and hire Lambert as soon as possible, as viewers are growing tired of seeing the same faces over and over again.
