AHS Season 12 is Not the First Kim Kardashian's Role (She Has Razzie Award Already)
Kim's upcoming appearance on the popular show is not her first foray into acting.
Fans of the cult hit series American Horror Story were shocked earlier this week when Kim Kardashian was announced as a main cast member for the upcoming 13th season.
The new season will be based on Danielle Valentine's forthcoming novel Delicate Condition, in which a woman suspects evil spirits are preventing her from getting pregnant.
Although the season is an adaptation, Ryan Murphy has revealed that Kim's role was written especially for her. Details about her character have yet to be revealed.
While Murphy is making a big deal out of Kim's involvement in the show, calling it her first foray into scripted acting, avid fans of the reality TV star know that she has appeared in several movies before, and not only as herself.
Kim already has a Razzie Award and a Razzie nomination for Worst Supporting Actress, and here's what you might want to know about those infamous roles.
Her first nomination was for the disastrous Disaster Movie, a parody of the popular blockbuster genre in the 2000s. The tasteless ensemble comedy brought nothing interesting to the mix, producing the same corny jokes as other spoofs, and Kim's involvement didn't help it one bit.
Kim had minimal screen time, but every second of it was cringeworthy, making her Razzie nomination well deserved.
Five years later, Kim tried her hand at acting again, but this time around, in a much more serious movie: Tyler Perry's Temptation. However, the superstar's plan backfired, as the final product was a total mess with no redeeming qualities.
While the lead actors did their best to ruin the movie, Kim tried really hard to showcase her acting chops as Ava. Unfortunately, she had very few chops to showcase, so getting a Razzie was inevitable.
With an acting history like that, some American Horror Story fans genuinely worry that Kim might ruin their favourite show with her abysmal acting, while others are confident that Ryan Murphy is just the right person to teach Kim how to act in front of the camera.
