The anticipated wedding is said to be derailed by tragedy.

Fox's series about the group of Texas first responders starring Rob Lowe has been going strong for four seasons already, thanks to the real chemistry between all the cast members of Lone Star.

Fans fell in love with the ragtag crew of rescuers from the very first episode of the show, and the writers have skillfully developed the dynamics between the group ever since, providing viewers with truly compelling television.

However, it looks like the creative team behind the show is planning to undo all of their previous efforts by ruining the most anticipated event in the show's history — TK and Carlos' wedding in the Season 4 finale.

Fans have been waiting for the big gay wedding between two beloved characters for quite some time, and now that it is almost here, Lone Star showrunner Tim Minear has revealed that the celebration may actually be derailed.

'It's going to be a beautiful wedding — we shot it already and I think it's going to be really emotional. Although I don't know if I want to tease that because what's going to really happen is tragedy will strike and the entire thing will be put in question,' Minear said.

While it's understandable that Fox wants a big drama to distort the season and force fans to come back for the upcoming Season 5, such cheap tactics really don't need to be a thing on Lone Star. TK and Carlos deserve to have their beautiful moment without any problems, so Minear teasing some kind of tragedy sounds like a very bad plot twist to fans.

We're all tired of network series putting drama before the happiness of their characters, as the producers are somehow sure that the fans don't want to see a successful wedding on their beloved shows.

However, it's obvious that this isn't the case at all, as TK and Carlos have been on the road for a while now, and we all really want them to enjoy the moment they've been building up to for four seasons.

In any case, it looks like the tragedy is going to happen anyway, as the episode has already been filmed and edited. Get ready for a huge backlash, Minear!

9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4 Episode 16 will arrive on Fox on May 9, 2023.
