Let's take a look at six high-profile Korean premieres that will light up this September.

6. A Time Called You

Release date: September 8

Fans of K-dramas should be especially excited about this series' cast led by Ahn Hyo-seop, the star of the popular rom-com Business Proposal, and Jeon Yeo-been, known for her role in Vincenzo. A Time Called You follows a grieving woman who is mysteriously transported to 1998 in the body of another person. There she meets a young man who bears an uncanny resemblance to her late lover.

5. Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun

Release date: September 9

Released in 2019, the first season of this fantasy drama proved to be one of the most popular Korean projects in the US. And tomorrow, we'll see the continuation of the story of the heroes inhabiting the magical lands of Arth. The second season is set eight years after the original story.

4. The Day

Release date: September 13

Based on Jung Hae-yeon's novel of the same name, The Day follows a desperate father who can't pay for his ill daughter's treatment and takes a risky step, kidnapping a young girl from a wealthy family. But the girl happens to lose her memory and thinks that her kidnapper is her real father.

Han River Police is a buddy cop drama with comedy elements, following two river patrol officers working on Seoul's Han River.

Many may remember Kim Jee-woon's Western action movie The Good, the Bad, the Weird, and this new series is another epic historical drama in the spirit of classic Westerns. During the Japanese occupation, many Koreans fled to the Manchuri border region called Gando. In Song of the Bandits, the protagonist finds himself in this lawless land.

1. The Worst of Evil

Release date: September 27

The Worst of Evil follows a police officer who infiltrates a major crime syndicate distributing drugs throughout East Asia. Notably, Squid Game star Wi Ha-joon plays one of the leading roles.
