The hit show will surprise with the next season.

Chicago Fire is one of the most popular primetime series currently on air, with millions of viewers deeply invested in the story of firefighters juggling their work and private lives. Sadly, because of the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the 12th season of the show was postponed till 2024, leaving fans to wonder what to expect from the upcoming installment.

Here are five key predictions for Chicago Fire Season 12.

Severide will return

When Taylor Kinney suddenly left the project in the middle of Season 11, the whole fandom was devastated and worried that they would never see Kelly Severide again. However, many fans think Dick Wolf simply cannot let that happen, so they fully expect to see Kinney back in the premiere episode of Season 12.

But given that the actor left the series for personal reasons, we suspect that his return in Season 12 may only be temporary, and Kinney might quit the project for good after a few episodes.

Brett and Casey will get married

Fans were already bursting with happiness when Jesse Spencer returned to the series as Matthey Casey at the end of last season, and the fact that the character proposed to Sylvie Brett instantly sent them to cloud nine.

The beloved ship seems to be becoming a reality, and the upcoming Season 12 will probably feature the long-awaited wedding.

Mouch will survive

The sight of Mouch collapsing in the Season 11 finale made many viewers worried that the character might die, but we're pretty sure the writers won't kill off the beloved firefighter.

Instead, they will probably retire Mouch and make him a mentor to young firefighters, which will allow him to continue working at Firehouse 51 without risking his health.

Blake and Violet will get back together

Ever since Violet joined Firehouse 51, fans have been expecting her to reunite with Blake, but one thing has derailed the couple's rekindling — Violet mourning Ethan, her late boyfriend. However, with that storyline finally over, there is nothing stopping the two characters from trying their luck at romance again.

Kylie Estevez is going to be a hero

Like any newcomer to Firehouse 51, Kylie has a lot to prove to her more experienced colleagues. In the future season, she will likely surprise everyone with her unorthodox thinking and save some people in a huge fire, so the team and the audience will see her as the new hero.
