August’s Facial Expression
While August and Willie started out as best friends, their friendship deteriorated during the first season. August officially ended any relationship with Willie by uploading a sex tape of the prince and Simon online. While this act was quite appalling, it was the look on August's face that broke fans' hearts. The young man was filled with anger, jealousy, and self-loathing after betraying his former friend.
Dinner Scene
When Prince Erik, Willie's older brother, died in a car accident, it was already heartbreaking. However, the scene where Willie and his parents were having dinner after the accident managed to sadden fans even more. Willie's father and mother were unable to comfort their son, and it was clear how hurt Willie was by the loss of his brother.
Willie’s Confession To Boris
Being a prince is not easy, especially if you are gay. That's why Willie was always hesitant to share his sexuality with others and suffered from anxiety as a result. The scene where he realises he can be open with his therapist, Boris, drove fans to tears because the young man was finally able to be himself.
The Horse Scene
A scene in which Willie and Simon went on a horse ride provided a perfect cosy distraction from the anxiety and challenges of being college students. When the two boys held each other's hands while still on horseback, fans' hearts certainly melted.

Throughout the show, Willie tries to keep his anxiety under control. Unfortunately, after a particularly difficult day, he begins to manifest it physically by vomiting before going to bed. The entire scene is heartbreaking, as no one is there to comfort the young prince at that moment.
