A couple of fan-favorite actresses have managed to capitalize on their success.

Without a doubt, ABC's Ugly Betty was one of the most popular comedies of the late 2000s, thanks to its great premise of an underrated young girl proving herself as a fashion idol while juggling her work and family responsibilities.

The series made a lot of cast members famous, but it was America Ferrera who really stole the show as Betty Suarez. However, the project ended more than a decade ago, and even though it is available on Netflix in its entirety, fans are not that interested in re-watching Ugly Betty anymore.

But with that being said, America Ferrera is back in the news thanks to her small role in Greta Gerwig's Barbie, so people naturally began to get curious about Ugly Betty again, trying to figure out which of the actors was actually the richest in the cast.

Many fans were quick to declare America Ferrera as the most likely winner, as her $16-million net worth proves that she is a force to be reckoned with. In reality, however, the lead actress is not the richest Ugly Betty cast member: Ferrera is surpassed by not one, but two of her former co-stars!

Rebecca Romijn, who played Daniel's transgender sister Alexis,

and Vanessa Williams, known for her portrayal of no-nonsense Mode editor-in-chief Wilhelmina Slater, are worth $20 million each, making them by far the richest Ugly Betty stars.

While Romjin was already quite wealthy before joining the ABC show thanks to her modeling career, she got a huge financial boost in recent years. She played a major role in 2022's Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and also launched her own jewelry line, Charlie Dolly, which quickly became a worthwhile investment.

Williams, on the other hand, decided to take her career in a different direction and joined Paramount's reality show Queen of the Universe as a judge. Even though the series was canceled after just two seasons, the first African-American woman to win the Miss America title certainly made a lot of money from her involvement with the project.
