More than three years after Spider-Man: No Way Home, Zendaya still hasn’t delivered the set photo dump she promised from her third Spidey outing — leaving fans hitting refresh and wondering what’s still on hold.

Remember back in the No Way Home days when Zendaya said she would drop a batch of behind-the-scenes pics? Yeah, that never happened. And now that the next Spider-Man movie has reportedly wrapped, fans are clocking the promise harder than ever.

The photo dump that never arrived

Right after Spider-Man: No Way Home blew up, Zendaya posted an Instagram Story promising: "I know I’m behind on posting… a nwh photo dump is in order soon." That was more than three years ago. No dump. No slides. Nothing.

The timing has resurfaced because word is that Tom Holland’s fourth Spider-Man film, reportedly titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day, just finished filming. Zendaya is expected to be back as MJ alongside her real-life boyfriend, which naturally has fans asking for those old BTS shots even louder.

Why fans care (and why they think she’s holding out)

Her relationship with Holland — plus their recent engagement — has only made the curiosity worse. People want the cute history along with the cast candids. Some fans think she’s simply swamped and will post when she can. Others are convinced it’s a strategic thing — she’s had multiple projects in 2024/2025, and dropping a nostalgic Spider-Man set now would yank attention from newer work like Dune: Part Three. A few jokers even said she forgot because, in the movie, MJ’s memory got wiped. My take: it’s probably all of the above.

At this point, folks are half-serious that the eventual dump will combine No Way Home and Brand New Day pics. Whether that actually happens depends on how much MJ we get this time — which is still a question mark.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man 4 reportedly just wrapped

Here’s where the behind-the-scenes chatter gets oddly specific. The wrap news didn’t come from a studio announcement — it came via an Instagram post by Ziyi Cao, assistant to director Destin Daniel Cretton, who shared a sentimental note about wrap day that was later deleted (ScreenRant captured the gist before it vanished). Filming reportedly kicked off in August 2025.

"Wrapping is always so emotional. As someone really bad at saying goodbyes, I stayed around this time and hugged a lot of people… guess that’s a step forward."

"It’s an awesome crew. I love how neurodivergent… it turned out to be. I had a great time. Will miss you all (but just for a short while…) and may our path cross again."

So how much MJ is actually in this movie?

Early chatter framed Zendaya’s appearance as a cameo. Newer tea says otherwise. Her stylist, Law Roach, told ET he’s already pulling looks for a press tour, which doesn’t scream "blink-and-you-miss-it cameo." On top of that, ComicBookMovie reported Zendaya was spotted on set with Holland’s Peter visiting Aunt May’s grave — the kind of scene that suggests MJ might be more central and may even have her memories back.

And Holland has been openly bullish about what they read on the page together last year:

"Zendaya and I sat down and read it together, and we at times were bouncing around the living room like, ‘This is a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect.’"

What we know right now

  • Zendaya promised a No Way Home set "photo dump" years ago and still hasn’t posted it; fans are teasing her about it as the new movie wraps.
  • Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reportedly finished filming; the wrap news came via a now-deleted Instagram from director Destin Daniel Cretton’s assistant, Ziyi Cao. Filming reportedly began in August 2025.
  • Zendaya is expected back as MJ opposite Tom Holland; fans are hoping that, thanks to her reported engagement to Holland, the long-delayed BTS photos will double as relationship-era snapshots.
  • Her stylist, Law Roach, says he’s prepping press-tour outfits (via ET), hinting at more than a cameo. She was also reportedly seen filming with Holland at Aunt May’s grave (via ComicBookMovie), which points to meaningful screen time and potential memory restoration.
  • Cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Colon-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, Tramell Tillman, and Marvin Jones III.
  • Release date: July 31, 2026.

Bottom line: the movie’s in the can, MJ seems poised for a bigger role, and the mythical No Way Home photo dump is still somewhere in Zendaya’s camera roll. If she’s saving it for maximum impact, now would be a pretty excellent time to hit 'Post'.
