Oh look, another reason to love princess Diana: she was actually a good person.

During her lifetime, Princess Diana was known as the Queen of the People's Hearts because of her kind heart and endless desire to help those in need. And because of this, Diana's death was a tragedy for millions of people.

"I am not a political figure, I am a humanitarian figure, always was, always will be", Diana said.

She just wanted to help people in any way she could because she believed that the world was plagued by a lack of humanity and compassion. Here are her most important acts of kindness that the whole world talked about.

Heartbreaking Diana Conspiracy Theory Prince Harry Believed In for Far Too Long

1. Taking off her gloves and shaking hands with AIDS patients

In the 1980s, the number of AIDS patients was growing rapidly and almost nothing was known about the disease. At the time, many people mistakenly believed that AIDS could be transmitted through physical contact, and those infected became outcasts.

In the spring of 1987, Britain's first AIDS ward opened. Prince Charles refused to attend the ceremony, but Diana did not. Not only did she attend the event, but she also interacted with the patients, greeting them with a confident handshake. In doing so, Diana disproved the myth that AIDS is contagious through physical contact.

"In our opinion, Diana was the foremost ambassador for AIDS awareness on the planet and no one can fill her shoes in terms of the work she did," said Gavin Hart, founder of the National AIDS Trust.

2. Walking through a cleared minefield

In 1997, shortly before her death, Princess Diana flew to Angola, where war was raging and the country was littered with mines. Men, women and children with amputated limbs roamed the streets.

Wearing a HALO Trust vest and a bulletproof mask, Princess Diana walked across a field that had been cleared of all mines to show her protest against the use of weapons. Although the field was no longer a threat, Diana later admitted that she was shaking with fear.

3. Helping the homeless and teaching it to her sons

In 1992 Princess Diana became a trustee of the Centrepoint Homeless Center in London. Often Diana took her sons to see the flip side of life.

The princess said that when you are in a hospital or among crippled people, you forget the old problems because they seem so small and pathetic. She thought that only when you are among the miserable little houses, when you see this miserable life, can you understand how miserable are the attempts of our wealthy and well-fed society to help those in need. Diana said that we can't imagine their lives, just as they can't imagine that our lives are possible.

4. Regularly visited children with cancer in the hospital

Princess Diana was a patron of the Royal Brompton Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. Needless to say, she truly loved children. Recognizing that children with cancer needed attention more than anyone else, she visited them three times a week and spent three to four hours with them. Diana said she understood that some of them might live, some might die, but they all needed to receive love here and now.

Describing her experience, Diana said that she couldn't get past the sick people, but she wasn't allowed into all the wards. Only the doctors and nurses went in, but if she could, she would go in, leaving her aides to wander the corridors. Princess Diana encouraged the patients, shook their hands, tried to give them hope... She could only help them with her compassion, and if it helped, she was ready to give everything.
