You Could Watch Only One The Winchesters Episode and Still Miss Nothing
It looks like the spin-off of the beloved series has failed, but one episode still deserves fans' attention.
The CW's decision to produce a spin-off of its most popular series, Supernatural, has been met with support from fans who wanted to know more about Dean and Sam's parents.
The first episode of The Winchesters premiered last year and fans were extremely disappointed – the show seemed cheap, the dialogue was uninspiring and the lead actors lacked the charisma of Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.
Although the show was very frustrating to watch, as the new teenage atmosphere of the series put off long-time fans of the original series, some viewers were able to stick with it until the last episode and were rewarded quite handsomely.
Even Supernatural's Creator Thinks These 5 Episodes Are a Waste of Time
Episode 13, entitled 'Hey, that's no way to say goodbye', started out like any other uninspiring episode of The Winchesters, but that all changed dramatically when a very familiar character appeared before viewers.
Yes, that's right, Dean Winchester, played again by Jensen Ackles, appeared in the season finale, shocking viewers.
Obviously, most fans watched this half-baked series for one reason only – to see someone from the original series appear, but who would have guessed that it would be Dean, who wasn't even born during the events of the series.
And it wasn't just a cameo, as Dean appeared in several scenes during the episode, helping his parents and even giving them his old diary and Colt revolver, warning Mary against the yellow-eyed demon. While these moments were certainly just fanservice, people were still thrilled, just happy to see their favorite character again.
According to most fans, if you only want to watch one episode of The Winchesters, watch the final one, as it perfectly captures the excitement of the original series while providing fans with a new storyline featuring Dean Winchester alongside another couple of very familiar and dear faces.
Of course, just one good episode out of thirteen is not a good statistic for a new show, and The CW seems to be fully aware of this as The Winchesters has yet to be renewed for a second season.
