The Duttons are reuniting for new episodes.

Yellowstone fans that have been anxiously awaiting the return of season five received some promising news last week. It's been reported that the remainder of Yellowstone season five is expected to return in November, which will be the final episodes in the original series.

According to reports, Sheridan is already moving forward with an anticipated Yellowstone spin-off featuring Matthew McConaughey that is slated to premiere in December 2023. Thus, it makes complete sense that Sheridan is ready to close the first installment given the high volume of Yellowstone spin-offs, along with the current feud with Kevin Costner.

Nonetheless, before Yellowstone takes a final bow, co-star Luke Grimes promises huge things for the season five finale. The 39-year-old recently commented on the return of Yellowstone, as well as preparing for its departure.

'Really Juicy Drama'

Luke Grimes cannot wait to get back on the set of Yellowstone. The actor has been posting on social media regarding the announcement that the popular neo-western will return in late fall. Consequently, fans have been clinging to Grimes for any hint or revelation of what may come in the final episodes of Yellowstone. And, according to Grimes, the details are 'juicy.'

'With Kayce, he has a hard time choosing [between] his father and his relationship with his wife and son… and that's sort of where you get all of this really juicy drama,' Grimes explained to Entertainment Tonight.

Kayce Dutton remains divided between families

Kayce, like most of the Dutton clan, is haunted by his own demons. Furthermore, the character - like the other siblings - hasn't always had an easy time maintaining a relationship with their father, John Dutton (Kevin Costner). As such, Kayce has struggled to divide loyalty between his immediate family (Monica and Tate) and his extended family (the rest of the Duttons).

'Love and family and serve your tribe - your people - [it's] a huge theme in the show,' Grimes expanded on the overall theme of Yellowstone. The actor, who plays Kayce in the series, understands full well what it takes to be a Dutton. As a result, Grimes insists that it will all come full circle in the end.

'It all really matters [to Kayce]... he is sort of fighting for their team,' Grimes admitted, foreshadowing major things to come for the character in the second part of season five. 'There's no right team or wrong team. It's just a bunch of people trying to figure out how to do what's best on their own.'
